Are You Building a Wedding Website?

Feb 13, 2013

Back in 2008 when J&I were planning our wedding, wedding websites were still a fairly new thing. So we were able to slide by with a pretty blah, no-frills site. Today, it's a completely different wedding world - there are so many great options available for building a beautiful and original wedding website and I'm excited to share one of my favorites with you: Wix.com

The best part about Wix is that it's free! And you don't need any coding or design skills. You can choose from hundreds of designer-made templates and they are fully customizable to your wedding style. Here's a look at a few of my favorite designs:

One of my favorite things about wedding websites is that they are like little wedding elves - they help you get pertinent info out to your guests so quickly + easily - whether it's your wedding registry, accommodation options, honeymoon info, photo galleries, countdowns and even maps to your venues. With Wix, you can even include RSVP forms and build a mobile site and Facebook page. A new trend that I'm loving is the idea of a wedding website living on after the wedding and becoming a family website.

You can also upgrade your free account on Wix so that you can connect your own domain and remove ads. Upgrades start at $8.00 per month. And, even better, the kind folks at Wix are offering a great deal to CB readers:

Discount is valid from Feb 12 until March 15, 2013

Enjoy and I hope you'll let me know how your wedding website turns out! :)
